The concept claims to offers a range of options to help you relax, make you more confident, or aid sleep. The founders have decided to take the largely audio experience, currently accessible over the internet, and put it into digital surround sound.
For £7 you go along to the cinema and get the chance to vote on two 'journeys'. The voting is done by waving glow sticks in the air. Then, guided by a soothing voice, you might fly to a lost city, canoe down a ravine to a beautiful meadow, or be taken into space and once there given guidance on the self-improvement that you have chosen to take on.
Although it sounds strange it is actually a fresh layer of packaging around tried and tested methods of meditation. The visual experience is limited to the start where the audience votes on a place to go (summer meadow, city park, desert island), a way to get there (canoe, horse and carriage, with your wings), what to think about (stress management, happiness, self-motivation), a meditation method (breathing, exercises, counting) and music.
This is followed by the first 15-minute 'journey' when with eyes shut you can hear the sound effects of your environment and have the place loosely described, leaving your imagination to do most of the work. Overlapping voices and calming music help to deepen the relaxation.
The first public screening will be on 10 September at the Odeon, Brighton.
