Also, when listing Stefan Dennis, you mentioned the twins Gayle and Gillian. They too released a single in the early Nineties. I don't remember much about it, but their failure to release a follow-up makes me think that it could well be a contender. While it's hard to come up with a worse example of a singing soap star than Stefan Dennis, I can only assume that memory repression was the cause of your failure to include Anita Dobson's 'Anyone Can Fall In Love'. And how about the effort from EastEnders' Barry Evans, which was accompanied with a video featuring the man himself reclining in an inflatable armchair in a swimming pool? Nice ...
