James Blunt and Dido in Dirty Dancing

On the verge of becoming an adult, Baby (James Blunt) accompanies his family to a summer camp - but out-ofhours dance sessions with masterful dance instructor Johnny (Dido) lead to romance. Blunt ruins several scenes by trilling 'MY LIFE IS BRILLIANT!' at inopportune moments.

Madonna in Save the Dance

The remake of this MTV-produced movie features Madonna not as star but director. By strange coincidence, the lead male role goes to Guy Ritchie, who dances around quite a lot and looks to be enjoying himself.

Kele Okereke in Footloose

The Bloc Party frontman is renowned for being a light-hearted, happy-go-lucky kinda guy. But in this interpretation of Kevin Bacon's Ren McCormack , Kele takes his role incredibly seriously. In honour of 'Silent Alarm', this remake features Kele performing a 'silent little dance' , from which people have to guess the song in his head. It is 'Theme From S-Express'. Nobody guesses it.

Ricky Wilson in Staying Alive

He was born to be a dancer, now Mr Kaiser Chief takes centre stage for this remake of a sequel, making the role of Tony Manero his own by yelling 'WHOOOOOAHHH!' during the bridge of literally every song on the soundtrack.

Bob Dylan in Flashdance

Basing his part not on Jennifer Beal's original performance but on Geri Halliwell's reinterpretation in the 'It's Raining Men ' video, Dylan's mumbling interpretation of the role wins rave reviews from Puzzler magazine . Take a Break, too, is particularly impressed with 'Dylan's convincing nod to Beal's big hairdo', while Paul Ross gives the movie 'A BIG THUMBS UP!!!!'.
