For anyone inclined to believe that the rich and privileged engage in sordid behaviour and hide it from the public, the ‘birthday book’ looks like proof that they were right all along.
Trump has claimed that his contribution to the book has been forged, and Mandelson has been embarrassed by his. But they are by no means the only noteworthy contributors, and the book in its entirety deserves to be read. Here it is:
